Restaurant and hotel website design in St. Petersburg for guests deciding on their phones

Restaurants, bars, hotels, vacation rentals, and tour operators get judged in seconds, usually by someone on a sidewalk or in a rental car. We build hospitality sites that answer the questions guests actually ask and make booking the obvious next step.

What these sites must get right

  • Menus as real text on the page, not PDFs
  • Hours, location, parking, and a tap-to-call number at the top of the home page
  • One-tap access to reservations, online ordering, or direct booking
  • Google Business Profile hours, menu, and booking links that match the site
  • A closure banner staff can switch on in minutes during storm season
  • Event and seasonal pages that are easy to publish and retire
  • Photos that load fast on a phone without looking compressed

Menus, hours, and directions, fast

The most visited page on most restaurant sites is the menu, and too often it's a PDF. PDF menus are slow to open on a phone, hard to read without zooming, often unusable with a screen reader, and harder for search engines to read reliably. We build menus as real text on the page, easy for staff to update when the catch of the day or a price changes.

Hours, location, parking, and a tap-to-call number belong at the top of the home page. For a spot near the downtown St. Pete waterfront or on Corey Avenue in St. Pete Beach, parking and walking directions are part of the decision. So is whether you take reservations, walk-ins, or both.

Then there's your Google Business Profile, which many guests see before they ever reach your site. Its hours, menu link, photos, and reservation link should match the website exactly. We set both up together and show you how to keep them in sync.

Reservations, ordering, and direct bookings

Restaurants usually rely on a reservation or online ordering platform, and hotels and vacation rentals on a booking engine or property management system. We integrate whichever you use so guests reach it in one tap from any page, and test the whole flow on a phone.

For hotels, rentals, and tour operators, direct booking is a margin question. Listing sites bring discovery, but every booking through them costs a commission. A site that ranks for your property type, your area, and the experiences around it, like a Pass-a-Grille sunset outing or a downtown stay within walking distance of the museums, gives guests a reason to book with you directly.

Tour operators need clear schedules, meeting points, weather policies, and booking that works on a phone. Our web design and app development services cover the build, and our St. Petersburg page looks at the local market.

Seasons, storms, and keeping the site current

Tampa Bay hospitality runs on a calendar. Winter and spring bring snowbirds and spring break crowds, summer leans on locals and staycations, and hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. Each shift changes what guests need to know: seasonal hours, special menus, event pages, and storm updates.

We build hospitality sites so those updates take minutes: a site-wide notice banner for closures, hours your staff can change from the editor, and event pages your team can publish and retire on its own. When a storm passes and you reopen, guests should be able to learn it from your site and your profile at the same moment. Our digital marketing team can handle the seasonal push in search and social.

Hotels and rentals also have to think about who's searching, and from where. A couple planning a winter trip from up north is often searching weeks ahead on a laptop; a family already at the beach is searching on a phone for somewhere to eat tonight. We plan pages for both: destination and trip-planning content for the first, fast local pages for the second.

Questions we hear

Why not just upload our PDF menu?

PDFs are slow on phones, awkward to read without pinching and zooming, and often inaccessible to screen reader users. A menu built as page text loads instantly, updates in a minute, and gives search engines your actual dishes to match against searches. We can still offer a printable version alongside it.

Can you connect our existing reservation or booking system?

Almost always. Most reservation, ordering, and booking platforms provide a link, a widget, or an integration. We place it where guests expect it and make sure it works on mobile.

How do we handle hurricane closures on the website?

We build a notice banner you can turn on from the editor with a short message and dates, and we show you how to set special hours on your Google Business Profile at the same time. Once you reopen, the banner comes down and your normal hours take over.

Do you work with vacation rental owners?

Yes. Owners and managers with several properties gain the most from a direct booking site, since each direct reservation avoids a listing platform's fees. We'll talk through whether your booking volume justifies one.
