Ultraviolet Lab

A web studio in the Sunshine City

Ultraviolet Lab designs, builds, and markets websites for businesses across Tampa Bay from St. Petersburg. Design and search are one job here, planned together from the first conversation.

Chris Williams

Founder, Ultraviolet Lab

I started Ultraviolet Lab in St. Petersburg on one idea: the decisions that decide whether a website gets found are made while it's being planned, not after it launches. Which pages exist, what each one is for, how fast it loads on a phone, what happens to the old URLs. Hand those to a separate SEO vendor six months later and most of them are already locked in.

So every project here runs as one job. I start with how your customers actually search, plan the pages around that, and then design, build, and launch them together, whether that's a site for a contractor, an online store, an app, or the marketing that sends people to them. You deal directly with the people doing the work, from the first note to long after launch.

If your site looks fine but the phone doesn't ring, tell me about it. That's the problem I like best.

How we work

The site is the proof
We don't have a wall of client logos to show you yet, so we won't fake one. What we can show is this site: open it on your phone, check how fast it loads, look at its search listing. That's the standard your site gets.
Local means specific
A Clearwater beach rental and a Hyde Park law firm don't search the same way. We write about the neighborhoods, corridors, and seasons that shape your customers, not a city name swapped into a template.
Search is designed in
Every page gets one job and one search it's built to answer, decided before the design starts. That's what "built to rank from day one" means here.
No claims we can't back
No invented reviews, no rankings we can't promise, no prices that change once we see the job. If we don't know something yet, we'll say so.

Where we work

We’re a service-area business with no storefront, based in St. Petersburg and working across St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater, and the rest of Tampa Bay.

Say hello.

Tell us about the business and what the website needs to do for it. A few sentences is enough to start.

Your note goes straight to Chris Williams, who does the work and replies within 24 hours.
